We are o-fficially a mess.

Here is the tail of these two twenty-somethings currently:

Well. In case there was any question of the matter, we have decided that we are both pretty stinkin' tired. My 6 am alarm has snoozed (every 9 minutes Josh would like to include) to 6:30 am and even then it's a major struggle. I am in need of very large doses of caffeine almost hourly ahk! Bad news.

Josh is studying like a crazy person. But, he is doing so well! I don't know how he learns what he does but he is g-o-o-d good at it.

Good news for both of us though. In four days and four test we will be so done for two whole weeks. I CAN NOT WAIT. I love my kiddos at school, but kiddos need a break too. Bad news for our apt. It's a wreck (total) for 4 more days. Life goes on.

I still feel like we are commuters, but honestly until after Christmas it's not going to change. We are not going to stop visiting home and the other part of our life will continue to be here. We are hoping that we will be able to get a little more of a routine for ourselves here in the new year. Tomorrow is always a good day to start right?

Do to our commuter-ness we don't have a Christmas tree this year. Please know that my heart is pretty sad about this. It IS NOT because I am a fuddy dud when it comes to Christmas. As a matter of fact I l-o-v-e love Christmas with all my heart. We just couldn't make much sense of buying a tree, putting it up and then leaving town the 10 days before Christmas! There is no sense to be made. Someday though, it will be grand. Only Josh envisions very large colored and I envision classic white lights. We will compromise though, I've got bigger fish to fry at this point.

For example, I need him to do the dishes if I cook AND forever be the official cleaner upper of the dog poo ahk! I can't handle either, gag.

Well that's about all for now. 4 days 'til break woohoo!

Talk to ya soon,
Dee Dee

Home is Where You Are

The truth is. We love our first home together but gosh darn it we will be happy when our address end in Franklin, Ky!

Josh and I were so used to being surrounded by friends and family in high school and in college. Things are so different now. We have made some great new friends, but we sure miss everyone back home. As a matter of fact we miss them so much that we have found ourselves heading down I-65 almost every weekend. This is great because we aren't missing a whole lot at home, but it also makes it very difficult to get into a grocery shopping/cleaning/relaxation routine up here.

Today we hit the interstate to go see FS play in the state final game! We were both very excited, being alumni and because my brother-in-law in the awesome head coach of the team. They didn't end up with the "W" but they sure did play hard. So glad we got to be there today.

We headed straight back. Josh is studyin' away for a test in something-ology and for finals week coming up... eek! In the mean time I have gotten to create two new blog headers and explore all kinds of things on pinterest {always okay by me!}.

We have four years {at least} up here so I want to really be comfortable and happy here. We hope to start making time for things like that and balancing our time a little better. I have lots of little projects around the apartment that I would love {with an ever growing list thanks to pinterest}

I plan to share these things with friends and family along the way so viola! Tales of A Twenty Something. Every year of life is exciting but gosh a lot changes in your twenties and I don't want to forget about any of it. Welcome to our documentary of our firsts, flubs, funnies and fantastic times together as twenty-somethings!
